Information You Send
If you type a name, phone number, or address into a search widget, the information is sent to the third-party provider that powers that result. The site’s own pages do not keep a copy of the search. If you contact us, we receive the content of your message and the reply address needed to answer it.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Those ordinary logs help keep Provo Residents Directory secure and show which pages need repair. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement where those services are enabled.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate pages, answer messages, fix faults, understand aggregate traffic, and improve the reference. We do not sell a visitor list or build an individual profile from the public-record searches described on the pages.
Links and Sponsored Results
County and state portals, Provo offices, libraries, archives, courts, and sponsored search tools have their own privacy terms. Their rules govern information entered after a reader leaves these pages. Review the outside provider’s policy before submitting a search or request.
Who Processes Technical Data
Hosting and technical support providers may process server logs for the limited purposes above. Analytics or advertising partners may receive automatic technical data. Information is disclosed when a valid legal process requires it, and otherwise is handled for site operation and support.
Security and Retention
The pages use an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only as long as the operational need requires. There are no accounts, passwords, or user profiles maintained by Provo Residents Directory.
People Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor sends information, contact us so the message can be reviewed and deleted when appropriate.
Your Utah Privacy Rights
Subject to scope and thresholds, the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, Utah Code Title 13, Chapter 61, may provide access, deletion, portability, and opt-out rights for personal data held by a covered business. Because this site keeps very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs. Use the Contact page. Public records held by Utah, Utah County, or Provo offices are outside our control; requests about those records go to the custodian.
Public-record requests follow Utah’s Government Records Access and Management Act, Utah Code Title 63G, Chapter 2. GRAMA controls records held by government offices, not the small operational data described here.
Policy Changes
A revised policy will be posted on this page with its updated wording. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
